Growing up in the Northwest, I was raised by hard-working, middle class parents. My father modeled a servant’s heart. He was, however, no businessman. Watching our multigenerational family business implode before my very young eyes, I knew I had to keep that from happening to others.

If that wasn’t enough, my father died young at age 50 from a massive heart attack. I had just turned 18. It was no coincidence that months after that, I dropped my major and began a life filled with massive exercise and physical activity: running, cycling, tennis, soccer, weightlifting and the martial arts, to name just a few. That loss also led to my interest in helping other founders of family businesses become financially independent of their companies, since so much of their personal wealth is (like my father’s) tied up in their business.

As a result, I now work with a limited number of affluent families where I can have the greatest impact to help them create amazing lives of significance, so they can take care of the people they love, the causes they care about, and truly make a difference in the world.

Dave currently serves the community in a number of positions. He is on the Board of Directors for the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Chamber. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Arts Council of Lake Oswego. As a member of the Arts Council, he is also on the Development Committee. Dave is also a graduate of Leadership Lake Oswego. Some additional past positions of service include Lake Oswego Rotary, Night Strike, past President of Villages Northwest, along with a number of other volunteer positions.

As a Northwest native, I love being outside exploring the state. Whether it is a trip to the beach with my family or a hike around town, fresh air and beautiful scenery are my happy place.

Another passion of mine is learning about people. With that in mind, I am happy that I get to be a part of the stories of our clients every day here at Oswego Wealth Management. It is so fulfilling to add to that experience.
